It’s a beautiful sunny Autumn morning, Today I want to share with you who should not drink green tea. You know drinking green tea is more of a fashion these days, people think it’s a cool thing to do. It’s fancy. Lot of people even though they don’t like green tea, but they still drink it because everyone says it’s good for health and good for weight loss. Of course green tea has lot of good things in it, it has got plenty of antioxidants. But it’s not suitable for everyone. For some people it induces vomiting and burning sensation in their chest. So let’s see who shouldn’t be drinking green tea.
Medication:
If you are under any medication for any kind of disease, then drinking green tea is not that good for you. Because sometimes green tea might react with the medicine. So combining both green tea and medicine is a bit dangerous thing to do.
Menstrual Cycles:
You know during monthly period if you drink green tea, for some people it creates kind of vomitting sensation. So it’s good to avoid green tea during your period.
Pregnancy:
You need to avoid taking green tea during pregnancy. When we take green tea, the activity in our body increases, it is already high for women who are pregnant. You don’t want to mess with what is already naturally happening in your body. So it’s better to avoid green tea during pregnancy.
Weight Loss Diet:
If you are on any diet to lose weight or if you are on supplements, then the thickness of your blood reduces. So when you take green tea during those times, it will reduce the thickness of blood even further and may lead to other health complications. So for those who are on weight loss diets, green tea is not good for them.
Caffeine Intolerance:
You know some people have caffeine intolerance. Even though green tea has less caffeine, if you drink it for more than 2 cups a day, it might give hypertension, weakness in nerves, and sleeplessness.
All the nutrients that green tea has, we have them in fruits and vegetables. If you eat your five a day then you will get all the antioxidants that your body needs. You can include a lot of berry fruits in your diet which are loaded with antioxidants. You can put them in your breakfast smoothies or cereals or even eat them as a snack.
My Top Tip:
If you need a hot beverage them you can make turmeric tea or ginger tea or you can even make a fresh mint tea which is very refreshing.
