Curry Leaves Soup To Regulate Insulin – Cure Diabetes

I am going to show you an excellent diabetic friendly soup. This helps your body to secrete insulin. You can even have this delicious soup as your lunch or dinner. It’s also very healthy for those who want to lose weight.

Diabetes has become quite common now. Until 10 years ago people above 40 or 45 years were more prone to Type 2 Diabetes. There were few cases of Type 1 Diabetes in kids, it was mostly due to genetics and few other reasons. But nowadays we can see a lot of youngsters as early as 20 years are affected by Type 2 Diabetes. The major cause for this increase is wrong food habits and eating junk food.

One of the side effects of diabetes is that, it reduces our energy levels over years and also it ages us fast. People who have diabetes get that kind of aged look at a very young age itself.

This special soup that I am going to show you uses natural ingredients, that gives you instant energy boost and it helps you retain your youth.

The main ingredient I am using in this soup is Curry Leaves, I’m adding quite a lot of it. The nutrients in curry leaves have medicinal properties that help your body secrete insulin. It also keeps your energy levels really high.

I am also using Corriander Leaves, which helps to reduce the blood glucose levels in diabetics. Moreover, it maintains the insulin activity, it helps you in keeping your blood sugar levels in check.

Ingredients :

  • Split Yellow Gram / Toor Dal – 2 tbsp (Soaked for 1 hour)
  • Curry Leaves – big handful
  • Pepper Corns – 5
  • Cloves – 2
  • Cardamom – 1
  • Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
  • Cumin / Jeera – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Cold Pressed Sesame Oil – 1 tsp
  • Onion – 1 (chopped)
  • Tomato – 2 (chopped)
  • Corriander Leaves – 2 tsbp (chopped)
  • Salt – as needed

Method:

  • First thing boil split yellow gram with half a cup of water and cook it until it is soft. Soaking the lentils for about an hour makes the cooking faster.
  • In another pan, add a tsp of cold pressed sesame oil.
  • Add pepper corns, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon cumin and turmeric to the oil and fry them for about half a minute.
  • Then add chopped onion and chopped garlic. Saute this onion until it becomes translucent.
  • Add chopped tomatoes.
  • Add salt and cook until the tomato softens.
  • Add curry leaves and cooked lentils and cook it further for about 1 minute in medium flame.
  • Let this cool down a bit and then blend it into a smooth soup.
  • Sprinkle chopped corriander leaves before serving it.

This curry leaves soup is quite filling, you can easily replace your meal with this. This soup is not only for diabetic patients. Anybody who wants to lose weight and keep their cholesterol under control can also take this.
