How to make Biotin Powder

If you’re experiencing severe hair fall, hair thinning or dull & dry skin then you need to take a closer look at your nutrition.

People who have extreme hair fall are usually given biotin supplements. But I always believe that your nutrition should come from your food, not from supplement pills. That way your body will absorb it better.

What is Biotin?

Soo what is this biotin, what makes it so special when it comes to hair growth?

Biotin is also called as Vitamin H, it’s one of the B complex vitamins. Biotin promotes hair growth, it’s also responsible for your soft skin and strong nails. And it keeps your metabolism high too, so it helps you fight against obesity.

I make my own Vegetarian Biotin Powder at home which is very easy, cost effective and it’s super delicious. I want to share that recipe with you guys.

How To Sprout Wheat berries

I sprout wheat berries to make my biotin powder. Sprouting increases the biotin content by 111%. I soak the wheat for about 8 hours and then tie it in a wet cotton towel for 24 hours. You need to make sure the towel stays wet by sprinkling water on it every 5 to 6 hours.

These sprouted wheat berries are extremely nutritious. I usually sun dry them after they are sprouted. This is important to remove the moisture from it as we are going to make a powder.

I use nuts and seeds that are high in Biotin and Iron.

Why Beetroot Powder?

I also use beetroot powder in my biotin recipe as it’s really high in Iron. You can cut the beetroot and dry it, then blend it into a fine powder. You can also buy beetroot powder. Beetroot is quite important to increase your haemoglobin levels and treat anaemia.
