This traditional village remedy helps you get Long & Thick Hair. Many of you ask how I grow my hair really fast. Often I cut my hair very short, and then it grows back really quickly. The same with my kids too.
The reason is my Grandma’s secret hair tonic. It is a hair oil, the preparation method is different from other hair oils. They follow this method in the village where my Grandmother lives. I learnt it from her.
This hair tonic helps to regrow hair, prevents extreme hair breakage, treat bald patches and prevents hair from falling out. It’s also used to treat dandruff. You may think, how can one home remedy achieve all of this?? It’s because of the way this special hair oil is prepared, it makes all the difference.
This hair growth oil can work wonders in the most thinnest and damaged hair.

To prepare this oil, I’ve got a big bunch of curry leaves. I’ve washed them and dried them in a towel. You need fresh curry leaves for making this hair tonic oil, I usually buy them from Asian stores. You need to dry them fully, water shouldn’t be left on the leaves.
Once the leaves are dry, crush them in a mortar and pestle and turn it into a coarse paste without adding any water. Curry leaves oil has a high moisture retaining capacity, since it is not easily broken down or evaporated as it’s very stable. It won’t let the moisture escape, so it will keep the hair soft which prevents breakage.
Once you’ve got the paste, get a double boiler ready. Double boiler sounds fancy, right?? I don’t have one. So I just have a pot of boiling water and put a big bowl on top of it. Voila, your double boiler is ready 🙂
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Add 100 ml cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil to the bowl. It’s very important you use cold pressed oil to get the full benefits of the coconut oil for hair growth.
Lots of people ask me why bother buying cold pressed oil when you are going to heat it anyway? Well…. the reason is, when the oil is made commercially, they apply a lot of heat which is way beyond it’s smoking point. That heating process destroys all the nutrients from the oil. When we buy cold press coconut oil, it retains all the nutrients and it has a high smoking point, so when we heat the oil, we still get all the nutritional benefits from it.
Jump to RecipeGarlic
While the coconut oil is melting, get 10 garlic pods, crush them and let them rest for 10 minutes. Leaving them for 10 minutes before using will increase the enzymes in the garlic. It boosts collagen production that helps stimulate hair growth. The presence of selenium content in garlic helps boost blood circulation for maximum nourishment.
When the coconut oil has completely melted down, add the curry leaves paste to this oil.
And heat it for 10 to 15 minutes in medium to low flame. Keep stirring it continuously, don’t leave the pan alone.
Be patient, and continue to mix. After 10 minutes you will notice that the oil changes its color. But you will need to continue stirring until it is dark green.
To check if the oil is dark enough, take a white plate and strain a tbsp of oil onto the plate in order to check the color. If it has a light color, boil it for a few more minutes until it gets to dark color.
Once your oil turns dark green, add the crushed garlic. Boil it for another 5 minutes until the garlic is brown.
Turn the flame off and let the oil cool down. The various antioxidants present in garlic serve as anti-dandruff agent. It’s far better than any other anti dandruff shampoo available in the market.
Once its completely cooled down, strain it into a bottle. This traditional curry leaves and garlic oil is rich in vitamins and minerals, which are good for extreme hair growth.
This hair tonic keeps your hair strong, nourished, and protected from the effects of premature ageing, like baldness and excessive hair loss.

Notes
How to use the Hair Oil:
When you want to use this oil, warm the oil a little bit, and apply it onto your scalp and to the full length of your hair. Massage it really well. And leave it for 2 hours before you wash it. If you are running short of time them leave it on for at least an hour.
Then wash it with herbal shampoo or shikakai. I make my own herbal shampoo at home. This herbal shampoo recipe is so easy to make and its great to keep the hair soft and shiny. According to my experience, when you use this oil, it feels like your hair is growing almost everyday.
Curry leaves and garlic oil is effective against several human fungi, including candida, which is one of the major causes of dandruff. This traditional hair tonic will take care of dandruff and any scalp infections. Apart from anti fungal properties, this oil also has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that will help to heal the redness and scalp irritation.
All credit goes to my Grandma who taught me this wonderful hair oil recipe. I hope you stop your hair loss with this recipe and grow long & thick hair!!
